How to take Homeopathic medicines

Important:

Homoeopathic medicinal action starts in the mouth, through the nerves around the mouth, hence it is best to take the medicine in a clean mouth free from odours, and let the pills melt slowly in the mouth for a longer time helping a deeper action. Also, avoid drinking water for up to 30 minutes after taking the medicine.

Directions for Use of Homoeopathic Medicine

1. Dispensing the Pills

Avoid Hand Contact: Do not touch the pills with your bare hands, as moisture or residue from your skin can contaminate the medicine or reduce its effectiveness.

Use the Cap: Tap the required number of pills directly into the bottle’s cap or onto a clean, dry spoon.

2. Administration

Placement: Tip the pills from the cap or spoon directly into your mouth. Place them under the tongue and let them dissolve naturally, very slowly.

Absorption:  Do not chew or swallow them whole, as they are absorbed through the oral mucosa.

Wait Time: Maintain a “clean mouth” by not eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth for 30 to 60 minutes before and after taking the dose.

3. Key Precautions

Strong Flavours: Avoid strong-smelling substances like onion, mint, garlic, coffee, tea, saunf, elaichi, cloves, or mouth fresheners, immediately before or after a dose, as these can interfere with the medicine’s action.

Storage: Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and strong odours (like perfumes, essential oils, Vicks, balms, naphthalene balls, camphor, etc), and electronic gadgets.

Infants: For babies, you can dissolve the pills in a small amount of distilled or mineral water and administer it with a dropper or spoon.
